As there was still sunshine all the time and about 30° on the first weekend here in Buenos Aires it was perfect to discover the city for the first time.
Yesterday we went to the northern city centre in the areas Recoleta and Palermo. In Recoleta there is the big cemetery with all the famous Argentinian deceased, including the grave of Evita.
Palermo is the more the student quarter with many nice plazas, Cafes and parks where loads of people inline skate, cycle or play soccer or hockey.
Today on Sunday we went to the southern quarter with the Sunday Street market in San Telmo where you can get paintings, knives, shoes, deocrations and quite some junk as well. We went further to the Microcentros with many government buildings like the presedential palace or the defence ministry.
The city centre is actually not that big as you might imagine so everyting is quite close. After the Microcentro it took us only about 5 or 10 Minutes to go the famous Colon Theatre and the big Obelisk. On almost every corne you find nice statues or antique buildings, all in a nice bright, mainly white color that gives a perfect contrast to the bright blue sky. And of course we tried out the great Argentinian cuisine. As the meat crisis is over because the farmers strike anymore we could taste the tasty Argentinian steaks. Indeed all the say its true, it's really delicious, so delicate and so low fat. Once you have steaks like those it's gonna be difficult for me to live without them. Anyway, enough talking for today. I'd rather let the pictures speak.

Looks great, the guy carrying the meat reminds me of myself - strong, determined and good-looking! Not quite sure about the hat though (not that I would tell him he looks stupid though...
